Derek

Greetings, my name is Derek. I was born and raised in Liverpool UK and have now made Melbourne Australia my home. My main passions and interests are around music, where I enjoy many genres and collect vinyl records. I have worked as a professional DJ and was a radio broadcaster for 12 years, specialising in Jamaican and British dub reggae music. I am passionate about 'soundsystem culture' where I have been active in introducing this to an Australian audience, with my own custom sound system, which I built over many years and it being one of the first of its kind in Australia. I also enjoy getting out into nature, discovering new places, learning about history and I'm a Liverpool Football Club supporter.
