Hi! I’m Maria, a Latina passionate about creating positive impacts in every space I belong to and work within. In my home country, I studied Law and completed a master’s degree in education. In Australia, I decided to move into the health and care field, completed a Graduate Certificate in Health and Community, and I’m currently studying a Master of Social Work. Among my passions are trying new foods - I absolutely love dancing and music in general. I enjoy spending time alone but also love good company. I’m deeply interested in politics and activism for causes that I believe are fair and important. I wouldn’t say I have one special talent, but I really enjoy crocheting, painting, writing, and reading. I also love long walks. I have a little dog named Ali, whom I adore with all my heart. I consider myself a flexible, kind, and patient person who truly enjoys helping others. Like everyone else, I have my off days, but overall, I’m quite a cheerful person. I also believe I’m a pretty good cook, so I can prepare delicious meals that fit the dietary needs of the person I’m caring for. I’m always happy to ask questions when I don’t know something, and I like being open and vulnerable so others can feel comfortable doing the same with me.
