Disability Support Worker - Male Portuguese Speaking

Key Responsibilities

• Transfers using a Sara Steady and transfer belt
• Use of a commode for showering and toileting
• Personal care and daily living activities
• Safe manual handling and mobility support

About You

We are looking for a team member who is:

• Male
• Fluent in Portuguese – this is an essential requirement
• Experienced in providing personal and physical support
• Comfortable assisting with transfers and mobility
• Reliable and committed to regular Saturday and Sunday shifts
• Patient, respectful and person-centred
• Confident working with manual handling equipment and following support plans

Essential Requirements

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• Current CPR
• Relevant Support Worker experience
• Ability to undertake physical support and manual handling

Highly regarded:

• Experience with Sara Steady transfers
• Experience with personal care and toileting
• Experience supporting people with complex physical needs
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or a related field
